Zirkzee could return to Italy
Roma or Genoa may provide Dutchman with Serie A return
Dutch striker on loan at Anderlecht but could leave early
Zirkzee has been on loan at Anderlecht since the summer but has struggled to make an impact in Belgium.
The 21-year-old has scored just three goals in 18 appearances for Anderlecht and has fallen out of favour under manager Felice Mazzu.
Zirkzee is now free to leave Anderlecht and a return to Italy could be on the cards.
The striker spent the second half of last season on loan at Bologna and impressed with five goals in 17 appearances.
Roma and Genoa are both reportedly interested in signing Zirkzee on loan for the rest of the season.
Zirkzee is a highly rated young striker and would be a valuable addition to either Roma or Genoa.
The Dutchman has a good scoring record at youth level and has also been capped by the Netherlands at Under-21 level.
If Zirkzee does return to Italy, he will be hoping to rediscover the form that he showed at Bologna last season.
The striker will be keen to prove that he can score goals at the highest level and will be hoping to earn a permanent move to Italy in the summer.
