Super Micro hires new auditor to maintain Nasdaq listing; shares pop
Shares of Super Micro Computer Inc. (NASDAQ:SMCI) rose 4.9% in premarket trading on Monday as the company announced that it had hired a new auditor to avoid delisting from Nasdaq.
The company hired BDO USA LLP as its new independent registered public accounting firm, replacing Marcum Bernstein & Pinchuk LLP, which resigned in May.
Super Micro said it is working diligently to complete the review of its financial statements for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2023, and the related quarterly reports, and that it expects to file them "as soon as practicable."
The company said it is committed to maintaining its listing on Nasdaq and is "confident in its ability to do so."
Shares of Super Micro rose from $21.77 to $22.83 in premarket trading.
