PG Dezhon Hall lauds game-day visit: 'Best atmosphere I've been in'
Five-star PG Dezhon Hall cut his list to five schools this weekend and included blue blood programs Duke, Kentucky, and North Carolina.
Hall says Kentucky impressed him from the start because of the game-day atmosphere that the Wildcats create.
Hall, a 6-foot-3 point guard from Texas, is one of the top prospects in the 2024 class and is ranked as the No. 4 overall player in the ESPN 100.
He visited Kentucky on Saturday for the Wildcats' game against South Carolina and was blown away by the atmosphere.
"It was the best atmosphere I've been in," Hall said. "The fans were so loud and into the game, and it was just a great experience overall."
Hall said he was also impressed by Kentucky's coaching staff and players.
"Coach [John] Calipari is a great coach, and he knows how to develop players," Hall said. "And the players were all really nice and welcoming. They made me feel like I was part of the team already."
Hall said he's still considering all five schools on his list, but Kentucky is definitely a contender.
"Kentucky is a great school with a great program," Hall said. "I'm definitely going to consider them strongly."
Hall's visit to Kentucky was one of several he's taken in recent weeks. He's also visited Duke, North Carolina, and Texas.
He's expected to make a decision on his college choice in the spring.
