Embiid Dominates Inside, 76ers Take 2-1 Series Lead
Joel Embiid put on a dominant performance in the paint, leading the Philadelphia 76ers to a 119-109 victory over the Miami Heat in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series on Saturday night.
Embiid finished with 27 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists, while shooting 10-of-16 from the field.
Embiid's dominance in the paint was too much for the Heat to handle.
He repeatedly bullied his way to the basket, drawing fouls and converting easy layups.
Embiid also showed off his passing skills, finding open teammates for easy baskets.
The 76ers also got solid contributions from Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey.
Harris scored 20 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, while Maxey added 19 points and 6 assists.
The Heat were led by Jimmy Butler, who scored 27 points.
However, Butler struggled with his shot, shooting just 9-of-22 from the field.
The Heat also got 19 points from Tyler Herro and 18 points from Bam Adebayo.
The 76ers now have a 2-1 lead in the series.
Game 4 is scheduled for Monday night in Philadelphia.
