Reggae Boyz to be without key players as they bid to reach Nations League last four
Jamaica lost their passports making them unable to participate in the Nations League quarterfinal match against the USMNT. The incident happened while the team was traveling to the United States for the game.
The duo was scheduled to fly out on Tuesday night but were unable to board the flight after discovering their passports were missing. The players were devastated after the discovery, who have both been key figures for the Reggae Boyz in recent months.
The Reggae Boyz will now be without two of their most experienced players for the crucial match against the USMNT which will be a major blow to their chances of reaching the semi-finals.
Statement from the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF)
The JFF released a statement expressing their disappointment at the incident and confirming that the players would miss the match.
"We are very disappointed that these two players will miss this important match," JFF president Michael Ricketts said. "They are both key members of our team and their absence will be a big loss."
The JFF is now working with the Jamaican government to try and obtain emergency passports for the players, but it is unclear if they will be able to obtain them in time for the match.

The USMNT will now be strong favorites to progress to the semi-finals of the Nations League. They have a strong squad and will be looking to make the most of Jamaica's injury problems.
