Denmark must make ‘adjustments' to beat Spain, says Hojbjerg
Denmark will need to make "adjustments" to their game if they are to beat Spain in the last 16 of the World Cup, according to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The two sides meet at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on Sunday, with a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs.
Denmark finished second in Group C behind France, while Spain topped Group B ahead of Portugal.
Hojbjerg, who plays his club football for Tottenham Hotspur, believes that Denmark will need to be at their best to overcome Spain.
"Spain are a great team with a lot of quality," he said. "We will need to make some adjustments to our game if we are to beat them."
"We need to be more compact and we need to be more aggressive in our pressing," he added.
Denmark have never beaten Spain in a competitive match, but Hojbjerg is confident that his side can cause an upset.
"We believe in ourselves and we know that we can beat anyone on our day," he said.
"We are going into the game with a lot of confidence and we are determined to give it our all."
