U.S. Postal Service Worker Killed in Santa Rosa Collision

A U.S. Postal Service worker was killed in a collision with a semi-truck in Santa Rosa on Tuesday morning, police said.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Mendocino Avenue and Guerneville Road at approximately 8:30 a.m., a Santa Rosa police lieutenant said.
The postal worker, who was driving a mail truck, was pronounced dead at the scene, he said. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, but police said it appears the semi-truck driver ran a red light.
The identity of the postal worker has not been released.
The collision caused major traffic delays in the area, and Mendocino Avenue was closed for several hours while police investigated.
