Serbia Wins 2-1 Against Switzerland in Nations League Match
Serbia defeated Switzerland 2-1 in a thrilling Nations League match on Saturday. Dusan Vlahovic gave Serbia the lead in the first half, but Switzerland equalized through Breel Embolo. Aleksandar Mitrovic scored the winning goal for Serbia in the second half.
Serbia Dominates First Half
Serbia started the match strongly and created several chances. Vlahovic opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a powerful header. Serbia continued to control the game for the rest of the first half and had several chances to extend their lead.
Switzerland Fights Back
Switzerland came out stronger in the second half and equalized through Embolo in the 52nd minute. The goal gave Switzerland momentum, and they began to create more chances. However, Serbia defended well and kept Switzerland from taking the lead.
Serbia Wins With Late Goal
Serbia regained the lead in the 89th minute through Mitrovic. The goal came after a long spell of pressure from Serbia. Switzerland pushed for an equalizer in the final minutes but could not find a goal.
Serbia Moves Into First Place
The win moves Serbia into first place in their Nations League group. They are now level on points with Switzerland but have a better goal difference. Serbia will face Norway in their next Nations League match on Tuesday.
