Raptors' Bruno Fernando: Leaves game with ankle injury
Raptors' Bruno Fernando left Saturday's game against the Indiana Pacers with an ankle injury in the third quarter.
The extent of Fernando's injury is not yet known, but he will undergo an MRI on Sunday.
Fernando was playing in just his second game since returning from a calf injury that sidelined him for the first 10 games of the season.
The 24-year-old center has averaged 4.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per game this season.
His absence will be a blow to the Raptors, who are already without Pascal Siakam (adductor), OG Anunoby (hip), and Precious Achiuwa (ankle).
The Raptors will likely start Chris Boucher at center in Fernando's absence.
Boucher has averaged 12.3 points and 6.8 rebounds in 19.8 minutes per game this season.
The Raptors are currently 10-10 on the season and are in sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
