Quiet Place 2 Finally Breaks Its Silence: John Krasinski Returns to Direct and Write
Silence Never Sounded So Good
The long-awaited sequel to the critically acclaimed horror film A Quiet Place has finally broken its silence, with John Krasinski returning to direct and write the film. Krasinski will also reprise his role as Lee Abbott, the patriarch of the Abbott family, who must now lead his family to safety in a world where even the slightest sound can attract deadly creatures.
A Family Affair
Emily Blunt, who played Evelyn Abbott in the first film, will also return for the sequel. Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe will reprise their roles as Regan and Marcus Abbott, respectively. New cast members include Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou.
What to Expect
The sequel will pick up where the first film left off, with the Abbott family continuing their fight for survival in a world where silence is their only hope. However, the family will soon discover that the creatures they fear are not the only threat they face. They will also have to contend with other survivors who are willing to do whatever it takes to survive, even if it means putting others at risk.
A Return to the Roots
Krasinski has said that the sequel will be a "return to the roots" of the first film. He has also said that he wants to explore the themes of family, sacrifice, and hope in the sequel.
Release Date
A Quiet Place 2 is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 20, 2020.
