Debris from stadium roof at AT&T Stadium falls before Cowboys-Texans game

A piece of metal and debris fell from the roof at AT&T Stadium before the Dallas Cowboys-Houston Texans game on Sunday, October 2, 2022.

The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. CT, about two hours before kickoff. The stadium was being prepped for the game when the debris fell.

No one was injured in the incident. The debris was quickly cleaned up, and the game was able to start on time.

The cause of the incident is under investigation. AT&T Stadium is a domed stadium, so it is not clear how the debris fell from the roof.
