Over 8,000 Without Power In St. John Parish
Crews Work To Restore Service To Impacted Customers

Entergy Louisiana is reporting that the outages are scattered throughout the parish, with the hardest-hit areas being LaPlace, St. John, and Reserve. Crews are working to restore service as quickly as possible, but some customers may be without power for several hours.
The storms brought heavy rain, thunder, and lightning to the area. The National Weather Service reported that some areas received up to 4 inches of rain in a short amount of time.
The St. John Parish Sheriff's Office is urging residents to stay away from downed power lines. They say that downed power lines can be dangerous and should only be handled by trained professionals.
