One Tree Hill Alums Jana Kramer and Sophia Bush Remember Paul Teal
Jana Kramer and Sophia Bush shared their condolences after the news of their One Tree Hill costar's passing.
On Sunday, Feb. 26, news broke that writer and producer Paul Teal had died.
Teal was the showrunner for One Tree Hill's seventh and eighth seasons. He also wrote 13 episodes and co-wrote two more throughout the series' run.
Following the news of Teal's passing, several of his former One Tree Hill collaborators paid tribute to him on social media, including Jana Kramer and Sophia Bush.
Kramer took to Instagram to share a photo of herself with Teal, along with a lengthy and heartfelt caption.
"I am absolutely heartbroken over the loss of our dear friend and colleague, Paul Teal," Kramer wrote.
"Paul was an incredibly talented and passionate writer and producer who brought so much joy to everyone who worked with him on One Tree Hill," she continued.
"He had a wicked sense of humor and a big heart, and he was always there for his friends and family," Kramer said.
Bush shared her own tribute to Teal on Twitter, writing:
"Devastated to hear about the passing of our friend and former #OneTreeHill showrunner, Paul Teal. Paul was a brilliant writer, an incredible leader, and a true friend to all."
She added, "My heart goes out to his family, friends, and all the lives he touched through his work."
Teal's death was a shock to many of his friends and colleagues.
He was known for his kindness, his passion for his work, and his love for his family.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his work on One Tree Hill, Teal also worked on other popular shows, including Dawson's Creek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Beverly Hills, 90210.
He is survived by his wife and two children.
