Early life in Tennessee

The Battle of the Alamo was one of the most famous battles in the Texas Revolution. On March 6, 1836, a force of about 180 Texans, including Crockett, defended the Alamo against a Mexican army of over 5,000 soldiers. The Texans were outnumbered and outgunned, and the battle ended in a defeat for the Texans.
