Kensie Leads San Diego Against Idaho State After 20-Point Showing
San Diego's Kensie Koerber put up a stellar performance against Utah, leading her team to a victory.
On Saturday, the San Diego Toreros (2-1) will face off against the Idaho State Bengals (2-2) at home.
The Toreros are coming off a 78-66 win over the Utah Utes, in which Koerber exploded for a career-high 20 points.
The 6-foot-1 forward was 8-of-12 from the field and 4-of-6 from three-point range.
Koerber has been a key player for San Diego this season.
In three games, she is averaging 14.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game
She is also shooting 52.2% from the field and 40.0% from three-point range
The Bengals are coming off a 74-57 loss to the Boise State Broncos.
Idaho State is led by junior guard Estefania Ors, who is averaging 17.5 points per game.
The Bengals are also a solid rebounding team, averaging 40.3 rebounds per game.
The Toreros will need to play a strong defensive game to contain Ors and the Bengals.
They will also need to continue to shoot the ball well from three-point range.
If they can do those things, they will have a good chance of winning their second straight game
