Heat Update: Martin's Bittersweet Return, Butler Set to Play
Jimmy Butler Will Join Bam Adebayo in Miami Heat Lineup for Game 4
In the NBA's Eastern Conference semifinals, the Miami Heat will have Jimmy Butler back in their lineup for Game 4 against the Boston Celtics. Butler missed Games 2 and 3 due to a right knee injury. Despite his absence, the Heat managed to win Game 3 in Boston and tie the series at 2-2.
Martin's Return is a Boost for the Heat
Butler is a key player for the Heat, averaging 21.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game during the regular season. His return will give the Heat a much-needed boost on both ends of the court. With Butler back in the lineup, the Heat will be a more difficult matchup for the Celtics.
Butler has been dealing with knee soreness throughout the playoffs. He aggravated the injury in Game 1 of the Heat's second-round series against the Philadelphia 76ers. Butler missed the rest of that series and the first two games of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Celtics.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said that Butler is "ready to go" for Game 4. Spoelstra also said that Butler will be on a minutes restriction. It is unclear how many minutes Butler will play in Game 4, but his return is a major boost for the Heat.
