Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg to Join Season 23 of 'The Voice'

Stefani returns as coach for sixth season, Snoop Dogg makes debut

Gwen Stefani and Snoop Dogg are joining the coaching panel of NBC's singing competition series "The Voice" for its 23rd season, the network announced Tuesday.

Stefani, who has previously coached on five seasons of the show, will return for her sixth season. Snoop Dogg will make his debut as a coach on the show.

Stefani and Snoop Dogg will join returning coaches Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson.

Stefani's return

Stefani first joined "The Voice" as a coach in season 7 in 2014. She has since coached on seasons 9, 12, 17, 19, and 22.

Stefani has won the show once, with Carter Rubin in season 19.

Snoop Dogg's debut

Snoop Dogg will make his debut as a coach on "The Voice" in season 23.

Snoop Dogg is a Grammy-nominated rapper, songwriter, media personality, actor, and entrepreneur.

He is known for his laid-back lyrical delivery and his signature West Coast G-funk style.

Shelton and Clarkson's return

Shelton has been a coach on "The Voice" since its inception in 2011.

He has won the show eight times, more than any other coach.

Clarkson joined "The Voice" as a coach in season 14 in 2018.

She has won the show four times.

Season 23 premiere

Season 23 of "The Voice" will premiere on NBC on March 6, 2023.

The season will feature a new format, with the addition of a "playoff round" before the live shows.

The winner of season 23 will receive a recording contract with Universal Music Group and a cash prize of $100,000.
