Exciting recruits to visit the Kohl Center!
New era of Badger basketball begins with highly touted recruits
Wisconsin basketball is set to welcome some of the nation's top recruits over the next few weeks. The Badgers have the No. 13-ranked recruiting class in the country for 2023, according to 247Sports.
The five-star recruits
The headliner of the class is five-star point guard Cole Anthony. Anthony is a McDonald's All-American and the No. 1 point guard in the country. He is a dynamic playmaker who can score and set up his teammates.
Wisconsin also landed five-star power forward Matthew Hurt. Hurt is a skilled big man who can score inside and out. He is also a good rebounder and defender.
The Badgers signed three four-star recruits in the class: forward Tyler Wahl, guard Lorne Bowman, and center Jonathan Davis.
New coach Greg Gard
The Badgers are excited about the future of their program under new coach Greg Gard. Gard has been an assistant coach at Wisconsin for the past nine seasons and is known for his defensive acumen.
Gard has already made a number of changes to the program, including implementing a new strength and conditioning program. He has also hired a new assistant coach, Joe Krabbenhoft, who has a reputation for developing players.
Fans expect a successful season from Kohl Center recruits with the addition of Anthony, Hurt, and Wahl to the lineup.
