Duncan Robinson Delivers Clutch Performance as Heat Defeat Pistons 115-112
Miami Heat Coach Erik Spoelstra Praises Robinson's Resilience, Adebayo's All-Around Impact
Duncan Robinson made six three-pointers, including a pair in the final two minutes, and finished with a team-high 25 points as the Miami Heat rallied for a 115-112 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night.
The Heat trailed by 12 midway through the third quarter, but thanks to Robinson's hot shooting and a key three-pointer from Kyle Lowery, they battled back to tie the game at 90-90 heading into the fourth.
Bam Adebayo's Dominant Performance
Bam Adebayo led the Heat in assists with eight and rebounds with 10 while scoring 22 to complete a strong all-around performance.
Early in the fourth period, a dunk and a layup by Adebayo sparked a 6-0 run that put the Heat in front, 96-90.
The Pistons' Fight
The Pistons, who were led by Jerami Grant's 23 points, didn't go down without a fight and trimmed the lead to 110-109 with 1:29 remaining.
However, Robinson sank two free throws, and D.J. Stewart sealed the win by making a pair of free throws with 9.1 seconds left.
Spoelstra's Post-Game Comments
Coach Erik Spoelstra praised Robinson's resilience for overcoming an early shooting slump and credited Adebayo's leadership for pushing the Heat to victory.
"Duncan's been through a lot this season, but he's shown a lot of perseverance and toughness," Spoelstra said. "He made some big shots down the stretch tonight."
"Bam is the heart and soul of this team," Spoelstra continued. "He does everything for us, and he's been playing at an All-Star level all season long."
