The Cowboys were led by running back Ezekiel Elliott, who rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown.
Quarterback Dak Prescott completed 23 of 37 passes for 223 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for a touchdown.
Texans’ Comeback Falls Short
The Texans made a late push in the fourth quarter, scoring 10 points to cut the Cowboys’ lead to 27-23 with just over two minutes remaining.
However, the Cowboys’ defense held strong, forcing a turnover on downs to seal the victory.
Both Teams Face Key Matchups Next Week
The Cowboys will travel to face the Philadelphia Eagles in a battle of NFC East rivals on Sunday.
The Texans will host the Tennessee Titans in a matchup of struggling AFC South teams.
