Five-Star prospect chooses Auburn over Ohio State, Florida

Sebastian Williams-Adams, one of the most sought-after linebackers in the country, has committed to Auburn University.

The five-star recruit, who is ranked among the top-50 prospects in the nation by ESPN, 247Sports and Rivals, made the announcement via social media on Thursday.

Williams-Adams chose Auburn over other finalists Ohio State and Florida.

"This was a difficult decision, but I believe that Auburn is the best place for me to reach my full potential as a student and an athlete," Williams-Adams said in a statement. "I'm excited to be a part of the Auburn family and I can't wait to get to work."

Williams-Adams is a versatile linebacker who can play inside or outside. He is known for his athleticism, speed and instincts.

He is expected to make an immediate impact for the Tigers, who are coming off a 6-7 season in 2022.

Williams-Adams' commitment is a major coup for Auburn's new head coach, Hugh Freeze. Freeze is hoping to rebuild the Tigers into a national contender, and Williams-Adams is a key piece of that puzzle.
