One Tree Hill Co-Star Bethany Joy Lenz Remembers Paul D. Teal in Heartfelt Tribute

Bethany Joy Lenz, the actress best known for her role as Haley James Scott on the hit TV show One Tree Hill, has paid tribute to her late co-star Paul D. Teal.

Teal, who played the role of Lucas Scott's best friend Skills Taylor on the show, passed away on Oct. 21 at the age of 40.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Lenz shared a series of photos of herself with Teal and wrote a touching message about her friend and former co-star.

"I'm so heartbroken to hear about the passing of my dear friend and One Tree Hill co-star, Paul D. Teal," Lenz wrote. "Paul was such a kind, loving, and talented person. He always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. He was a true friend, and I will miss him dearly."

Lenz went on to share some of her favorite memories of working with Teal on One Tree Hill.

"One of my favorite memories of Paul is from the first season of One Tree Hill," Lenz wrote. "We were filming a scene where Lucas and Skills were playing basketball. Paul was so good at basketball that he actually ended up making the shot that won the game. He was so proud of himself and he couldn't stop smiling. It was such a great moment."

Lenz also shared a photo of herself and Teal from the One Tree Hill reunion that was held in 2018.

"It was so great to see Paul at the One Tree Hill reunion," Lenz wrote. "He was still the same kind, funny, and loving person that I had always known. I'm so grateful that I got to spend some time with him before he passed away."

Lenz ended her post by saying that she will never forget Teal and that she will always cherish the memories that they shared.

"Paul, you will be forever missed," Lenz wrote. "I love you, my friend."

Teal's death was a shock to many One Tree Hill fans. He was a beloved member of the cast and his character, Skills, was a fan favorite.

Teal's cause of death has not been released, but his family has said that he died suddenly.

Teal is survived by his wife, Amy, and their two children.

Rest in peace, Paul.

You will be dearly missed.
