Bengals Offensive Lineman 'Not Expected' to Play on Sunday Night Football

Per Report, Cincinnati Bengals starting right guard Alex Cappa is doubtful to play in Week 17 matchup versus Buffalo Bills

Cappa missed practice on Thursday and Friday due to an ankle injury

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Cincinnati Bengals starting right guard Alex Cappa is not expected to play in Sunday Night Football's Week 17 matchup versus the Buffalo Bills. Cappa missed practices on both Thursday and Friday and was limited in practice on Wednesday due to an ankle injury.

Cappa is a key piece on the Bengals offensive line. He started 12 games at right guard this season and helped pave the way for Joe Burrow and the Bengals offense to finish the regular season ranked 12th in the NFL in total offense.

The Bills defense is ranked 10th in the NFL in total defense and is tied for seventh in the NFL with 37 sacks on the season. The Bengals will need to be able to protect Burrow if they want to have a chance to win on Sunday night.

If Cappa is unable to play, Hakeem Adeniji is expected to start at right guard in his place. Adeniji has started four games at right guard this season and has played in 10 games overall.
