Arkansas Razorbacks Dominate Pacific Tigers 91-72
Razorbacks Secure First Win of the Season
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Arkansas Razorbacks put on a dominant performance in Bud Walton Arena on Monday night, securing a resounding 91-72 victory over the Pacific Tigers. The win marks the Razorbacks' first of the season following a tough loss to No. 13 Creighton in their season opener.
Balanced Scoring Effort Leads Arkansas to Victory
The Razorbacks showcased a balanced scoring attack, with five players reaching double figures. Freshman guard Anthony Black led the way with 18 points, followed by sophomore forward Trevon Brazile with 16 points. Senior guard Ricky Council IV and freshman forward Nick Smith Jr. each contributed 15 points, while senior forward Jalen Graham added 10 points.
Arkansas shot an impressive 55.6% from the field and drained 10 three-pointers, while limiting Pacific to 39.3% shooting and just six three-pointers made. The Razorbacks also dominated the boards, outrebounding the Tigers 39-26.
Strong Defense Fuels Razorback Victory
The Razorbacks' defense was a key factor in their victory. Arkansas forced 15 turnovers and held Pacific to just 38.9% shooting in the second half. The Tigers were also held to just 25 points in the paint, thanks to the Razorbacks' strong interior defense.
Arkansas head coach Eric Musselman praised his team's defensive effort, saying, "Our defense was outstanding tonight. We forced a lot of turnovers and made it tough for Pacific to get into an offensive rhythm."
