Amcor to Acquire Berry Global in $8.4 Billion Packaging Deal
Amcor, a global leader in flexible packaging, has agreed to acquire Berry Global Group, Inc., a leading global supplier of rigid plastic packaging, in a $8.4 billion deal.
The acquisition will create a combined company with annual sales of approximately $18 billion and operations in 40 countries. Amcor CEO Ron Delia said the deal will create "a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions." Berry Global CEO Tom Salmon said the acquisition "will provide our customers with an even broader range of innovative packaging solutions."
The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2023, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
