Against Saudi Arabia, PSSI Chairman Doesn't Want To Speculate About Shin Tae-yong's Fate

PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi said that his party had not evaluated the performance of the Indonesian National Team (Timnas) under Shin Tae-yong's caretaker.

As is known, the Garuda squad failed to win in the 2023 Asian Cup Qualification which took place in Kuwait. Indonesia lost 0-4 to Jordan and drew 1-1 against Nepal.

Nevertheless, Nusi said that PSSI respected Shin and gave him space after the 2023 Asian Cup Qualification.

No Speculation

PSSI chairman Mochamad Iriawan said that his party did not want to speculate on the fate of Shin Tae-yong as coach of the Indonesian national team.

He said PSSI will first hold an evaluation regarding the performance of the Indonesian national team during the 2023 Asian Cup Qualification.

After the evaluation is complete, PSSI will determine the future of the Indonesian national team under Shin Tae-yong's care.
